Sewage treatment

The Uniteam biological sewage treatment system transforms your sewage into usable resources in the most environmental friendly way possible. The only output is compost and clean water.

The Uniteam sewage treatment system is integrated into a 20 ft container with integrated hook lift and is optimised for the use by 125 people without any need for chemicals. With a limited use of chemicals, the capacity will increase 100%. The system can be adjusted to cover the need of the actual number of people in the field or camp, by adding one or more containers to be placed where a minimum of piping works is needed.

The sewage pipe inlet from toilets, kitchen, laundry etc reaches a first chamber in the container where a patented mechanical separation takes place. All coarse particles are separated and transported to a compost chamber where micro-organisms then transfer the sludge to pure compost. The effectiveness of this process is proven to be in such a range that the compost chamber with a volume of 4 m3 will last for several years without emptying it. Of course there is a built in option for easy emptying at any time. The compost mixed with soil or peat can be used as a fertiliser.

The separated water is pumped to a series of buffer tanks that surrounds the two biological treatment chambers which executes the first biological treatment in a three step process. The sludge particles from this process are continuously pumped back to the compost compartment. In the further biological process the water is filtered by two biological filter systems and finally a pressure filter.

Here, all particles exceeding the size of one micron are trapped. All filters are automatically backwashed every 24 hours

The environmental advantages with the Uniteam system are obvious. The only outgoing residuals are pure fertilizer (soil) and fresh water, with no contaminations, which can be used for several purposes. The treatment process is more effective than any municipal sewage treatment plant due to the fact that we can control and monitor the flow from the buffer tanks over 24 hours.
